What the hackathon covered:

  • Collecting user input (name and phone number) and validating phone numbers
  • Sending automated personalised SMS messages
  • Project planning and management using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Creating project timelines and managing limited resources
  • Team collaboration and problem-solving under time pressure
  • Presenting solutions to a panel of judges

 

Outcome of the hackathon:
Participants gained hands-on experience building real-world applications, working in teams, managing projects, and delivering solutions under pressure, while applying both technical development and project management skills in a simulated industry environment. Top-performing teams walked away with gifts and internship opportunities.

Pahappa Biometric Installers & Integrators

The Pahappa Biometric Installers & Integrators Training Session was a practical, hands-on event focused on connecting biometric systems with communication tools to improve automation and user experience.

This training session brought together installers and integrators to learn how biometric devices can work seamlessly with SMS and custom API solutions. The session demonstrated how to build smarter systems for attendance, alerts, notifications, and device management using modern integration techniques.

Participants gained valuable experience working with APIs, understanding device integration workflows, and applying these tools in practical business and security environments. The event followed the same past-event style used on the Pahappa event page, with sections for event overview, date, location, gallery, and other past events.

Pahappa Biometric Installers & Integrators – Session 2

This session brought together installers and integrators to learn how to connect biometric devices to HR and communication systems using middleware solutions. Participants received guidance on setting up systems, connecting devices remotely, synchronising data, and creating practical workflows using platforms such as Hikvision and ZKTeco.

The training showed how to simplify attendance tracking, automate data transfer, and improve system reliability with clear integration and troubleshooting steps. It also emphasised the benefits of integrating SMS and HR solutions, helping participants offer better, more scalable options to their clients.

Participants learned to set up middleware, integrate devices, and troubleshoot issues. They also discussed long-term system maintenance and explored business opportunities, such as partnerships and referral commissions.
